  • I was awarded a leadership plaque by the mayor of Kriva Palanka, Macedonia, for a museum fundraising project.

  • Once I climbed a mountain in the Austrian Alps to taste soup.

  • My husband and I met on a tennis court in Golden Gate Park.

  • Married since 1990, we have a daughter and future son-in-law.

  • My husband and I went to a baseball game in Japan wearing neon-yellow wigs, the home team colors.

  • My first job in high school was at an advertising agency. Really!
